Car Wash Service Technician

A Carwash Equipment & Supply Company is seeking a Service Technician. The service technician is responsible for equipment maintenance, repair, and installation of car wash equipment. This position is on Monday - Friday 8-5 with overtime as needed. Based in the Midlands of SC; Some Travel is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Responsible for troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.

- Assists in the installation of new car wash equipment.

- Performs periodically scheduled maintenance and delivery of chemicals to customers.

- Repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.

- Helps customers with related information about operation, and maintenance of equipment.

- Must be involved in the problem-solving process regarding customer needs.

- Good communication skills. Interfaces with customers and appropriate related company personnel to ensure superior customer service.


QUALIFICATIONS

- Car wash repair and maintenance experience are preferred, but not required

- Must be able to obtain CDL driver’s license (Class C) and Hazmat endorsement. This can be done on company time and will be company funded. However, it must be completed successfully to hold the position.

- Must be physically fit enough to load and unload 500-pound drums with a Drum Dolly safely.

- Must be able to pass and keep up DOT physical and Random drug test every year.

- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals

- Excellent employee and customer relations skills

- Neat and clean in appearance

Pay: This job is an hourly job and is 40 hours a week minimum and we do work overtime. Starting pay depends on experience and abilities and there is room for growth and higher pay.

After one complete year, employees are eligible for two bonuses a year depending on the companies Performa and the employee’s performance.

Sick Days: Employees have 4 paid sick days a year. Aloud to carry up to 10 days forward to the following year.

Vacation: After the first year of employment an employee gets one full week paid. On the second year an employee gets two full weeks paid vacation. After five years of employment an employee will receive three weeks’ paid vacation.

Other Great Benefits: Each employee receives their own company cell phone and company truck. After one full year of employment, each employee is eligible to drive the company truck back and forth from home and work.

Individual Retirement Account: After 90 days of employment, the company will match an IRA up to 3% of your income.

Health Insurance: The Company does not have an insurance program. However, the company will pay a set amount a month toward a private policy. More details will be provided during the interview.
