Position Summary/General Description:
A Main Bank Cashier is responsible for distributing money/chips to internal departments and performing a variety of cashiering duties that include reconciling and verification of incoming and outgoing money/chips.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Adhere to departmental standard operating procedures, safety rules and health regulations, and Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the cage procedures in a large-scale operations including, but not limited to: receive and accurately verify large amounts of money/chips, prepare paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion, reconcile and balance main bank, maintain accurate records, reconcile variances, and accomplish all tasks as appropriate.

• Maintain strong knowledge with money handling, counting, and complex mathematical skills
• Perform drop, replenish and balance all ATM’s and ticket kiosk machines.
• Performs kiosk drop and count procedures in accordance with gaming and company regulations and departmental policies.
• Transport kiosk cassettes.
• Loads and unloads kiosks as required to include processing and generating tickets and reports.
• Participates in the cassette currency loading and sealing.
• Handles pit fill/credits with ease, and cooperates with team members within the department, as well as with other departments.
• Sorts and bags loose coins and bundles paper money.
• Request supervisor assistance when needed.
• At all times maintain a courteous, positive, and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g. clients and vendors).
• Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd or unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
• At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Education & Experience
• High School diploma or GED Certification preferred.
• (6) months cash handling experience preferred.
Licensing & Certification:
• None.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),
• Experience operating counting equipment (money sorters/counters, 10 key calculators).
Essential Physical Requirements:
• The job requires the ability to hear, stand, see and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
• The job requires the ability to reach overhead, talk, turn/twist, walk, push/pull, carry, lift, slide and transfer 1-50 lbs., 25-50% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
• The job requires the ability to problem solve, organize, read and perform math skills 51-100% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Work Environment (inside/outside):
• The job is performed indoors with exposure to confined areas and occasional exposure to hot/cold temperatures.
Other Requirements:
• Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna’s Gaming Control Board.
• Comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
• Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening and cashiers test.
